Nick-a knight in shining armor?

Nick told me yesterday about a game him and his (girl)friends Jewel and Jenny play at recess:

The two girls are stuck in the castle (the playscape) and the sand around is lava. Nick is supposed to rescue the girls from the castle and carry them thru the lava. If he drops them, then they die forever in the lava. He told me that usually it's just him and Jewel that play, but Jenny plays with them now too.

Jenny is one of the new students that recently started due to hurricane Katrina.

Oh, and for the record, Jewel is the girl that told me that Nick couldn't go home, cause her Mommy wasn't there to pick her up yet. Nick just shrugged his shoulders at me, like 'sorry Mom, we gotta wait.'
