Paul and Mary Guzman...
As many of you know, Mike's Grandmother passed away in February of 2007. His Grandfather recently passed away this January. We dug up some AWESOME pictures that I wanted to post, for posterity.
These first two are from when they were courting in highschool. I love them!
I think they were married by this time:

This was taken a year or two before Memaw passed away. They were married for something like 55 years. They were an inspiration.

Oh my gosh!
I'm so behind on pictures!! I can't believe that I still haven't put the ones up from Thanksgiving or Christmas! I may or may not ever get around to them, but I'm sure that we all had a great time.
So. It's almost the end of February. What's new?
Nick has his first loose tooth...Yes, his first! Yay! Finally. He'll be 9 in a month. He has just finished up basketball season, and he was AWESOME! I really enjoyed watching him play. He's very aggressive, and quick, and is really quite confident. Nick really loves to read. He will stay up late into the night reading a book, and he gets up early in the morning to read before school. He has read many of the Harry Potter books and is working on the Eragon trilogy right now. When he's not reading he's watching ESPN.
Carmen is 4 going on 15, and I finally get what that means. She is all girl, and loves to play with make up and fingernail polish. She gets herself dressed, and does her own hair. She's very independent, and a bit on the bossy side. She's still taking dance, and she'll have a recital at the beginning of May. She LOVES to perform. She also really loves to draw. I'll have to post some of her pictures. She is very creative. She can write her name, and most of the other letters of the alphabet. She'll be six before she starts kinder, and I'm betting she'll be reading before then...That's my goal, anyway!
Luke is just shy of 3, and he is AWFUL! Seriously. This kid is out of control. He really is lucky that he's so damn cute. Luke is just starting to show an interest in *writing*, and he can recognise most letters. He likes to do whatever *shisher* is doing. He's just beginning to want to dress himself, and I *hope* he'll be potty training soon. He actually was training before the new year but he fell in the toilet around Thanksgiving, and he has wanted nothing to do with the potty since. It was all my fault! Oops.
Both Luke and Carmen attend the dayschool where I teach Pre-K. We're all there two days a week for about 5 hours. They love it, and I do to. I really enjoy working with the kids in my class. It's amazing, but really hard work! Luke and Carmen have really thrived being around the other kids and with their awesome teachers. It's been a real blessing.
I s'pose that's all for now...
